The front panel is top-hinged and lifts straight upward to open.
How the Magnetic Lock Works
A magnetic key held at the correct spot, 2 inches above the panel's lower edge, on the panel disengages the internal latch and releases the door. Once the latch lets go, a light upward pull opens the door smoothly, and the key doesn't need to stay in place after that.
To close it back up, push the panel down until it sits flush, and the latch catches on its own, locking it again without needing the key at all.
